Rules And Regulation

  1. Admissions to Christ School are restricted by certain government regulations and by condition of age, mental attitude, ability and conduct of the candidate. Applicants for admission will be interviewed, tested and admitted to the standard they are found fit, according to the vacancies available.
  2. Every candidate for admission must be introduced by the parent / guardian who will be responsible for his / her conduct, progress in studies, discipline and payment of fees.
  3. The Principal reserves the right of refusing admission to a pupil without ascribing any reason for it. He also reserves the right of refusing continued studies of any pupil whose conduct is found not satisfactory or who is not benefitting by his stay and study in this School.
  4. Admissions to the ICSE stream are made by the School authorities from our Upper Kindergarten depending on their norms of selection and availability of the seats. The consent of the parents and the academic progress of the students will also be taken into consideration while making the selection to the ICSE stream.
  5. The school has not authorized any agency or person outside school to help parents in seeking admission.

  1. Transfer certificates will be issued only when the parent / guardian applies for it in the prescribed form after all the dues have been cleared in the office.
  2. Fees are due as long as no notice of withdrawal of student from School is given.
  3. Duplicates of transfer certificates will not be issued unless the request is supported by an affidavit, stating reason for the request, with prescribed fee.

A Student maybe dismissed on the following grounds:

  1. Irregular attendance
  2. Habitual idleness
  3. Disobedience or defiance of authority
  4. Non co-operation or misconduct of parent
  5. Malpractice in connection with examinations
  6. Misbehaviour in public places, streets and conveyances
  7. Lack of sufficient improvement in conduct and studies even after warnings
  8. Conduct injurious to the moral tone of the School.

  1. School fees are to be paid on yearly basis in advance at the time of re-admission / admission.
  2. Defaulters, once removed from the rolls, may be re-admitted on clearing the dues at the discretion of the Principal.
  3. Students joining or leaving in the middle of a term shall pay for the full term. They have to close all accounts due before taking out any certificate.
  4. Students have to clear all their dues for the year before their final examination. No Students will be allowed to write the final examinations without having cleared all their dues connected with library, laboratory, scout, and any damage caused in the course of the year students must stain NOC from all school department.
  5. The fee, once paid (including bus fee), will not be refunded on any account.
  6. If ID, Academic Planner or Assessment Report is lost, new one should be purchased.
  7. Christ School Management offers scholarships to deserving students who are financially poor, but talented and studious.

Application for T. C. must be given within 10days from the date of publication of the results. If it is given after the mentioned date or during the middle of the year the tuition fee for the remaining part of the academic year will have to be paid.

  1. When we assign students to classes for the next academic year, we endeavor to meet the needs of the individual child and develop classes whose balance and dynamics contribute to a positive learning environment.
  2. Because of the many variables that go into the careful consideration of the makeup of each class, we cannot accommodate parent requests for a particular placement for a child. Please be assured that we care about your child and will provide a successful school year filled with learning, friendships and excitement.

The student are divided into four houses identified by the colors mentioned against each.

Blue - Legends Green - Gladiators

Every year the school organizes a month-long Summer Coaching Camp for all students soon after the annual exam for Dance, Music, Games, Sports, Art, Karate, Band etc.

  1. As regular attendance is an important element for successful school work, no student should absent, himself / herself from class without sufficient reasons.
  2. Incase of serious illness, the Principal must be informed on time, and leave application should be accompanied by a doctor’s certificate. Long absence from the school without prior intimation will be viewed seriously. They are liable to be removed from the roll.
  3. Absence due to illness or any other reason should be intimated at once. Prior permission is required even for a short period of leave - day or two. Leave record should be duly filled by the parent / guardian on the pages provided in Hand Book.
  4. It is not advisable for parents to take away their wards during class hours. If a parent wants to take the child during class hours, prior permission of the Principal is required and the same should be intimated through the diary.
  5. Absence from test papers and examinations will be considered a serious breach of school discipline. Pupils who absent themselves from any of the terminal examinations, for any reason , other than sickness justified by doctor’s certificate will be considered having failed in that particular examination.
  6. Parents / guardians are requested to refrain from asking for special leave to attend weddings of other than the child’s own brother or sister or for religious ceremonies, social functions and domestic celebrations as leave for such purpose, is normally not granted during term days.
  7. Children are not allowed to bring any valuable articles such as wrist watch, electronic gadgets, Camera, radio, mobile phone, jewellery etc. with them. School shall not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.
  8. Improper conduct reflecting character, irregularity, continual neglect of studies, disobedience, insubordination and disrespect towards members of the staff, fights, fraudulence malpractice at tests and examinations, thieving, immoral behavior and other serious intentional offence, will attract expulsion from the school.
  9. Complaints by parents, if any, or remarks about the staff or school functioning must be brought to the notice of the Principal or Manager, and not to the staff concerned, in writing.
  10. The Management, Principal and staff will not be held responsible for any accidents or mishaps that may occur to the student, either on the premises or during to and fro journey to school.
  11. Speaking English is compulsory on school premises, in the school bus and at the bus stops while awaiting to board the bus.
  12. Students shall be responsible for the safe custody of their belongings. As a precautionary measure, it is suggested that they have their names inscribed on dress, articles like tiffin carriers, umbrellas, school bags, pencil box, etc. The school authorities will not be responsible for the loss of articles of students.
  13. Lost articles retrieved must be claimed from the school office within a week, after stipulated time limit unclaimed articles will be disposed of.
  14. Any damage caused to the movable/immovable property of the school must be immediately reported to the Principal and will have to be made good.
  15. Classrooms and the school premises shall be kept neat and tidy. All waste papers must be put in the proper receptacle. Students must make a point of picking up and disposing of litter and caring for the appearance of the school. Plantation drives and clean up campaigns shall be done on the campus to sensitize students towards ‘Swatch Bharat’ and other environmental issues. All students are expected to participate.
  16. No pupil may possess any literature without having approved and signed by the class teacher or subject teachers, as appropriate. Unsigned literature will be confiscated. Students shall not posses objectionable substances or material; neither shall they share them.
  17. Students shall not possess any article that may cause injury to self or others.

  1. It is compulsory that all students should be in full uniform as instructed.
  2. Boys should wear vests under the shirt and avoid low-waist trousers at school.
  3. Girls should not wear their hair loose. Avoid all cosmetics.
  4. Girls from classes 1-10 should wear their hair in two plaits.
  5. Gold ornaments, fancy ear rings and bangles are not allowed in the school.
  6. On festive occasions students should wear modest dress well below knee level.
  7. Socks and inner wear should be washed daily.
  8. Students are not permitted to grow / polish their nails, color their hair, use kajal/ eyeliner / eye shadows / bindi. Senior boys are not permitted to grow moustache, beard or to come unshaven to school.
  9. All fashion wears are prohibited in school.

  1. Parents will not be permitted to escort their ward to the respective class rooms. They have to leave their ward at the entrance before 8.15a.m. for classes I to X. After 8.20 a.m. they will not be allowed inside the campus.
  2. Visitors, Parents / Escorts have to park their vehicles in the parking areas. If found violating the guidelines, permission to enter the campus may be denied by the Security Personnel.
  3. The private vans are allowed inside the campus only after School buses are sent out through Gate Number 1 in the afternoon.
  4. Stay back students have to get the permission from the concerned teachers and they have to obtain permission from parents in the required form to take part in any planned supervised activities.
  5. Parents are requested to be present in the School on time, when ever students are asked to stay back for any practice or any other regular extra-curricular activities, so that when the practice / activity is over, they can pick their ward from the venue.
  6. To reduce the traffic congestion in the private approach road to Gate Number 1, in the morning and afternoon, it will function as ‘one-way’. Vehicles have to come into the campus through Gate Number 1 and exit through Gate Number 2.
  7. Parents are requested to verify and check the credibility and safety of your children coming by private vans.
  8. All have to respect the speed limit in the campus and should not indulge in rash driving.
  9. Every visitor coming to the School has to sign in the Log book kept with the security at the gate with all relevant details. They may be asked to deposit their photo ID card with security office, if required. They have to sign out when they go out of the campus.
  10. All visitors must sign-in and sign-out in the security office and carry a visitor's card.
  11. All three gates will be closed at 8.20 a.m. and the late comers or visitors have to approach Gate Number 1 or 2 to access entry into the campus with permission from Principal.
  12. We will be issuing identity cards to all parents / escorts and you are requested to affix a recent stamp size photo of your ward and escorts. To take the student out of the School during working hours, Parents / Authorized Escorts have to produce this ID card.
  13. No parent will be allowed to meet the teachers on the campus during working hours without prior appointment with the teacher. To take a prior appointment with their teacher, send a note to the concerned teacher through your ward.

  1. Leave to students for absence is granted only on applications submitted on time. Leave must also be recorded in the student’s Diary.
  2. Medical certificate should be attached with the application in case of illness.
  3. Name of the student shall be struck off the rolls, in case of a student absenting himself for more than 10 working days without obtaining leave.
  4. Students are strictly instructed not to take study leave before the examination other than the leave declared by the school. Parents also should cooperate in this regard.
  5. Students will not be allowed to go home soon after tests or exams on full working days.
  6. Students should only avial the holidays given by the school
  7. Students should not prolong the holidays without the permission of the Principal
  8. Students found taking leave on week before the commencement of any exam will be penalized unless the reason is genuine.

  1. All students of the school are members of the library.
  2. Perfect silence must be maintained in the library.
  3. Students must neatly replace the books in their places after use. All students must understand that the school library is theirs and that keeping the book intact is the responsibility of each student.
  4. Students are strictly warned:
    a) Not to scribble in, tamper with or damage the library books.
    b) Not to lend school library books to friends relatives or neighbours.
  5. The students must maintain a library note book and record the title, author and relevant extracts of the book read or referred. This must be shown to the teacher - in charge.
  6. Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the books before borrowing, otherwise they shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning.
  7. No person shall damage or disfigure books or other property of the library. He/she, shall have to replace such books or other property damaged or make a payment, of four times the value of the books plus 10% processing charge.
  8. Students of classes 5 to 10 can borrow five books at a time for a stretch of 14 days. If any student fails to return the book after the due date, will be charged Rs.20/- per day as a fine amount. Students can borrow books only during short break & lunch break.
